Fame: Supporting the Post-Trade Process
Two data services underpin the Stream solution: Fame Futures and the Fame Cross Symbology service.
Both are designed to not only provide the data and related tools that users require, but to help customers manage changing business demands.
For example, the futures and options world is becoming more multi-faceted and diversified. The number of new contracts trading around the world is rapidly rising, and exchanges may now list more than 100 new products for one launch date – often with only one week’s notice.
This makes it difficult to keep track of new products and maintain accurate data on existing ones in middle and back-office systems. However, Fame Futures can help – and support efforts to improve straight-through processing.
Fame Futures
provides daily settlement data, contract data and contract code mapping for global exchange traded derivatives, including futures, futures options and equity options.

Available as a standalone datafeed, Fame Futures also feeds many of the applications within Stream, SunGard's post-trade solutions suite, including:
-
Stream Clearvision: a real-time middle-office matching and clearing system for listed derivatives
-
Stream GMI: a back-office clearing and accounting software solution for the global, listed derivatives marketplace
-
Stream Ubix: a real-time back-office system for listed derivatives
-
StreamCore: a collection of services that consolidate data from across the enterprise to help you solve real business problems
-
Stream Phase3: a real-time, order-to-settlement securities processing system
The Fame Cross Symbology service helps customers manage the different codes that are typically used at different stages of trade processing. Many firms must map between front-, middle- and back-office codes if they want to support straight-through processing or create consolidated views across systems or data sources. Incomplete, inaccurate or late data adds to the challenge.
SunGard's ASP-based service solves this problem by creating cross-reference files that map between SunGard, third-party and customer-specific codes. As a result, users no longer need to keep track of multiple codes or enter requests multiple times. Instead, they can input just one identifier to request content from multiple sources. That not only eliminates an administrative headache – it can help reduce costs and free up resources.
