SunGard's Aligne Certification

Updated for Aligne 3.0, the Certification Program offers Aligne credentials to all users of the product. From New User to Aligne Consultant, the SunGard Aligne Certification Program has it covered. There are four levels of certification:

  • Aligne New User Certification
  • Aligne Experienced User Certification
  • Aligne System Administrator Certification
  • Aligne Consultant Certification

The certification can be used to implement Aligne at various levels of expertise. It will allow you to identify those in your company with knowledge of Aligne and the level of that experience and knowledge. Using the certification process you can ensure your employees are prepared to use the Aligne 3.0.x version of software upon implementation as well.

Certification provides organizations the benefits of higher skilled project team, improved processes, and better employee retention.

Certification Exam:  required for all certification levels

Practical Use of Aligne:  required for all levels except the New User certification. A form is provided.

Core courses:  one of the following is required for New User & Experienced User certifications:

  • Introduction to Aligne TRM
  • Introduction to Aligne Gas Ops
  • Introduction to Aligne Power Ops
  • Introduction to Aligne Fuels
  • Introduction to Aligne Integrated Environment

Upper Level Courses:  all are required by the Aligne Administrator & Consultant certifications:

  • Aligne TRM Administration
  • Aligne Custom Rules
  • UMS Overview
  • AIF Overview
  • BI Publisher

Optional Courses:  required for all certification levels:

  • New User:  requires 2 of the courses below
  • Experienced User:  requires 4 of the courses below
  • Administrator:  requires 2 of the courses below
  • Consultant:  requires 4 of the courses below

Aligne System Administration Certification:

Aligne Consultant Certification:

 Certification Rules:

  • Applicant must complete the standard course work according to SES’s instructional design and delivery principles. Several formats will be available such as classroom training, WebEx, and/or conference settings
  • All applicable course work completed within the past 12 months prior to applying for certification will count toward satisfying Component 1.
  • Certification will begin with version 3.x .
  • Certification is specific to a top-level version and not transferrable to later versions unless otherwise noted.
  • Certification holders will be required to re-certify after 24 months. Recertification can be achieved by completing additional course work within 24 months or by re-taking a certification exam. The exam must be completed in one of our local offices for a cost of 500 USD, 350 GBP or 400 EUR.
  • Certification will expire 24 months after the effective date.
