Tetra Gateway
SunGard’s TETRA Gateway provides a generic interface mechanism to allow easy integration of third party systems to different TETRA radio systems.
This is achieved by the provision of open standard interfaces that allow connected systems to utilise TETRA data services, without the need to implement infrastructure supplier specific interfaces.
In addition to data service access, the TETRA Gateway provides a full alias database.
This provides a central point of reference for all customer systems for conversion of TETRA specific identities into meaningful user identifiers.
Additional software options are available to provide control room management of TETRA terminal GPS location reporting.
The location services component provides full translation of various TETRA terminal location reporting formats into a common generic protocol for use by GIS solutions.
The TETRA Gateway is currently deployed on Motorola Dimetra and EADS TETRA systems.
TETRA Radio Managed Services
SunGard provides TETRA radio terminal managed services to a number of UK police forces, the MOD and the Highways Agency.
SunGard currently manages over 48,000 TETRA radio terminals providing maintenance, profiling, installation, upgrade and technology refresh on a catalogue order basis.
SunGard is contracted to Airwave Solutions to provide a nationwide managed service to the Department of Health for all Ambulance trusts in England, Scotland and Wales.
SunGard offers a hosted Location Solution. This solution has been designed and developed in-house by SunGard.
