SunGard Financial Systems, Capital Markets and Investment banking (Oxford; UK) My Role
I am currently working as a Graduate Analyst with Adaptiv within Capital Markets and Investment Banking at SunGard. My role involves negotiating, validating and ultimately implementing technical specifications received from various clients. Working as an analyst for Adaptiv has enabled me to develop both technically and professionally. A client focused role has helped me to learn how to communicate technical information effectively to them. Furthermore, implementing complex credit risk solutions, has not only helped me strengthen my technical knowledge but also gain a better understanding of the present day financial world. What exciting projects have you been involved in?
The current and future state of Global Markets offers a very exciting time to work within Credit Risk. Throughout my time here at SunGard I have worked on numerous projects of varying intensity. These have included implementing new financial products to meet the growing demand of effectively managing credit risk, altering risk calculations to meet the evolving needs of clients and upgrading systems to successfully use modern day technology. There is no typical day here at SunGard. Every day offers a new challenge along with a new learning experience. This can involve liaising with clients over specifications, understanding complex financial products, implementing and understanding cutting edge technology to best suit our clients’ needs. It is an integral part of a consultant’s day-to-day job to deal with queries in an effective and efficient manner. Complex systems have a number of teams working together, and it is important to interact with these teams to ensure smooth operation.
