Matt Clay Matthew Clay – Financial Insight
EMEA Senior Research Analyst, Capital Markets, Risk Management and European Banking

Matthew Clay is a Senior Research Analyst for IDC Financial Insights in EMEA, focusing on global capital markets and risk issues, with a specific remit to relate such issues to particular regional developments in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This focus incorporates all aspects of the capital markets trading and processing environment and the associated technology demands. It also provides for coverage of evolving risk management practices and relevant technology developments in the risk space.

With almost 10 years experience within the financial services marketplace first as an industry practitioner and for the past 6 years as a research analyst, Clay's expertise incorporates a wide range of issues impacting the capital markets and risk domains. This includes the evolution of methodologies and regulation across the three principle risk streams and the increasing proliferation of electronic trading. He provides strategic advice and support on a host of issues surrounding the capital markets and risk landscape, as well as providing insight into the dynamics of other aspects of the financial services industry.

Clay has a BA in International History and Politics from the University of Leeds and is a member of PRMIA (the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association).

Frederic Colette Frederic Colette – Newedge Group
Global Head of Operations

Frederic is the Managing Director and Global Head of Operations for Newedge, reporting directly to the CEO, and is responsible for all aspects of the Operations business globally, and across all asset classes in which Newedge deals. Most recently, Frederic successfully led the global integration of the Operationsí businesses from ex-Fimat and ex-Calyon, delivering several millions in synergies over the course of 2 years. Following from this, he is now leading the global transformation of the Operations business, including Client Services, in order to realize significant operational efficiencies over the course of the next 3 years.

Prior to joining Newedge, Frederic worked for Matif and later Fimat International Banque in both Paris and London, in areas ranging from Compliance, Control and Risk, Program management, and Operations where he eventually became the Head of Operations for Fimat in Europe. During the course of these 15 years, Frederic entrepeneured a European Clearing Center for Fimat in the Derivatives and Securities areas. Additionally, during this time, he was also responsible for refinining a Prime Brokerage operational platform for a business line which is growing at an accelerated pace.

Frederic earned his Diplome díEtudes Superieures Specialisees in Audit (Masters degree in Audit) and a Masitrise Superieure de Gestion (Bachelors degree in Econimics) from Dauphine University in France. Frederic is a current member of the FOA Clearing Committee, the Chairmanís Advisory Group for ICE and the EUREX Clearing Committee.

Newedge is a 50/50 joint venture between Societe Generale and Calyon, resulting from the merger of the brokerage activities of their former subsidiaries, Fimat and Calyon Financial International, respectively.
Jerome Rousseaux Jérôme Rousseaux – SunGard Global Trading

Jérôme is the Senior Vice President in charge Product Management for the SunGard Global trading Post Trade Services Product Line since beginning of 2009. He had been holding the position of Senior Product Marketing Manager for Post-Trade Derivatives for one year prior to the acquisition of GL Trade by SunGard. Between 1996 and 2005, Jérôme worked for the major back-office provider ATSM (then renamed Ubitrade) where he served as Senior Pre-Sales then as Sales Manager for Southern Europe and finally opened the US subsidiary in Chicago as Chief Operating Officer for the back-office system Ubix. Prior to joining ATSM, Jérôme had started his carrier in the IT Group of the Matif before working for one of the exchange subsidiary, Maestro, successively as Project Manager, Head of Support and Head of Sales. For 20 years, Jérôme has acquired a strong experience by occupying various managing functions in the IT services for the Listed Derivatives business.

Richard Wilkinson Richard Wilkinson – Royal Bank of Canada Europe Ltd
Director of Futures Clearing

Richard Wilkinson has over 25 years industry experience in both operational & front office roles across a broad spectrum of products: exchange traded derivatives; fixed income; equity; financing (repo & stock loan). In 2002, having been instrumental in the development of a third party clearing service for EquityClear & RepoClear at Dresdner Kleinwort, he transitioned from Operations to Clearing Sales to market the service.

In 2007 Richard joined the Futures Group at Royal Bank of Canada Europe Limited in 2007 as Director - Clearing & Infrastructure Sales, to help build out their clearing service.

Married with three teenage sons, Richard enjoys rugby & football (as a spectator) and is a keen skier.
