How FirstCare Pre-employment Screening Works

Pre-employment Screening eliminates the need for costly face-to-face medical interviews. Less daunting than the traditional pre-employment medical, the service assesses health suitability in a more timely and cost-effective manner. The process involves three simple stages; the completion of an online survey, a follow-up call with a FirstCare agent and a formal telephone interview with a Registered General Nurse (RGN).

Part of our suite of solutions services, Pre-employment Screening is available as a stand-alone system or as a complement to our attendance management service.

The FirstCare Pre-employment Screening service:

  • Assessment of a prospective employee’s fitness to fulfil job requirements
  • Advice to managers on a candidate’s (or candidates’) suitability
  • Online survey completion for ease of retrieval and updating
  • Survey questions tailored to suit specific job requirements
  • Follow-up calls from trained FirstCare agents to verify data
  • Formal interviews undertaken by Registered General Nurses (RGNs) to determine employment risk
  • Service works in partnership with HR department
  • GP referral where necessary
  • All parties regularly updated via emails and SMS text service
