Bob Ward is chief operating officer of SunGard’s wealth management business, which includes the WealthStation, SunGard Global Network (SGN), AddVantage, Charlotte, Global Plus, Relius and Omni solutions. He is focused on providing integration and connectivity solutions to well-established and emerging financial services firms on a worldwide basis. Prior to taking on this role, Mr. Ward was chief operating officer of SGN. Before joining SunGard in 1998, Mr. Ward worked for State Street Bank.
Mr. Ward is an expert in the area of cross-border and cross-asset class trade automation. Throughout his career, he has orchestrated strategic deals with some of the world’s largest brokerage firms and fund companies to help expand their distribution channels, automate trade flows and monitor trade compliance.
Commentary
As investment horizons broaden to include global instruments and the financial landscape becomes increasingly complex, the need for automated trading solutions is more critical. By leveraging technology across all stages of the transaction lifecycle and implementing consistent and compliant processes for executing and settling transactions around the globe, firms are able to focus more energy on revenue generating strategies and less time on operational processes.
