Clare Porter is responsible for providing strategic business analysis working in the technology office within SunGard’s enterprise solutions business. In addition, she is the product manager for Infinity, SunGard’s strategic software-as-a-service initiative. During her 10 years with SunGard, Ms. Porter has held roles in product management, professional services and marketing for SunGard’s trading, risk and insurance businesses. Previously, Ms. Porter worked for Citibank, Bankers Trust and HSBC.
Clare Porter is an expert in the business and technology aspects of Infinity, SunGard’s innovative approach to software development and delivery. She has a strong grasp of how the Infinity strategy will leverage SunGard’s assets across business segments – financial services expertise, technology solutions and collaborative services.
Commentary
SunGard’s financial systems business is pursuing an innovative technology strategy to revolutionize the way it delivers financial expertise to its customers. Our intellectual and software assets are being componentized in a services oriented architecture (CSA), made available through the Infinity registry, with business logic orchestrated by Infinity Process Platform (BPM) delivered on a virtualized software-as-a-service (SaaS) infrastructure. The intersection of the SOA framework and BPM delivered on a SaaS infrastructure promotes better alignment of IT with business initiatives.
