Jennifer Valdez is senior vice president of product management for SunGard’s wealth management business. In this role, she works with wealth managers to integrate data and processes from client acquisition to financial planning and investment selection through to trading, monitoring and reporting, and deliver superior client-facing reports and value-added service. Previously, she directed business development for SunGard’s investment management programs. Prior to joining SunGard in 1999, Ms. Valdez worked as a product manager at Franklin Templeton, where she designed marketing strategies for retirement and insurance products.
Ms. Valdez is an expert in designing solutions to meet the quickly changing needs of financial advisors and consultants at RIAs, banks, brokerage and insurance firms.
Commentary
Wealth management platforms, built on service oriented architectures, are becoming critical for enabling banks, broker-dealers, insurance companies and independent advisory firms to effectively serve mass affluent and high-net-worth clients. This includes tightly integrating capabilities and consolidating assets from multiple accounts and institutions into one central planning and decision-making environment. This helps to enable financial advisors to deliver comprehensive financial planning and investment management solutions to better service client relationships and to grow assets.
