Jon Bluth is senior vice president of product management for SunGard’s wealth management business, responsible for global products and services. With 25 years of experience in wealth management, Jon Bluth is an expert in the design and implementation of solutions that automate financial services processes and best practices in markets around the world. His knowledge of data processing, best practices, portals, and client-facing tools helps wealth management firms use technology to grow their business, improve productivity, and create deeper, more trusted client relationships. Mr. Bluth joined SunGard in 1998 after working for Automatic Data Processing BISG, where he was responsible for front office solutions.
Commentary
Most wealth management firms have seven or more systems supporting their front-office processes. Fragmented workflow makes advisors the integration point - which is highly inefficient and interferes with the advisors’ ability to build trusted relationships, take on new clients, and generate revenue. Meeting this challenge is often difficult because the wealth management business model is broad and involves a diverse set of client servicing channels; a rapidly evolving compliance landscape and pressure to reduce operating costs adds further complexity. Providing efficient, high-touch services to the greatest number of affluent clients requires tightly integrated software, information, and workflow in order to protect and grow assets under management.
