Current economic conditions are requiring chief information officers and chief operating officers to reduce budgets, especially in the “run/operate” functions that account for majority of spending. Compounding the pressure, IT is being asked to focus more on innovation and strategic initiatives, and the business is being challenged to stay ahead of the market. To meet these priorities, IT must reduce costs while continuously improving operational efficiencies and quality of service. The same situation applies to the business side as well.
Scalable global delivery models play a significant role in large scale outsourcing and managed services initiatives. The global delivery model has gone through several generations of maturity and has benefited from significant growth opportunities over the past several years. Technological innovation has helped people around the globe to collaborate more effectively than before. Clients in different industry verticals around the world now rely on managed services-based outsourcing programs that utilize the global delivery model and take advantage of its quality, scalability and cost benefits.
