Commentary
Investment firms are always looking to increase efficiency – from day-to-day operations and workflows to measuring previous and ongoing performance. By automating manual tasks, firms are able to dedicate valuable resources to higher value tasks. Additionally, by migrating business-critical systems to an ASP model, firms are able to offload hardware and system maintenance costs and streamline operations. As assets under management continue to grow and new regulatory requirements are added, gaining efficiencies and reducing errors in standard operations and critical systems are major factors to maintaining a competitive edge. Compelled by the trends of the financial services industry, there are a number of questions any investment firm must ask: What new feature sets will help us grow assets under management while reducing costs? What does the consolidation of financial technology vendors mean to me? How can these feature sets and vendors help to address the intermingling of traditional and alternative asset management strategies?
