Nicholas Brewer is vice president of global banking for SunGard’s Ambit banking solution suite. With more than 20 years experience in the financial and banking sector, Mr. Brewer has held various positions within banking operations, including in the Middle East, as well as within IT including the design of trading and middle-office systems.

Nicholas Brewer is responsible for the go-to-market strategy of core banking solutions. With his extensive knowledge of the banking industry, he helps ensure that SunGard customers get the most out of their core banking applications. Mr. Brewer focuses on innovation and is currently exploring how SOA and SaaS can help banks achieve best business outcomes while preserving deployment agility.
Commentary
The banking industry has always been an early adopter of innovation. As the operating environment become more challenging, many banks will look to IT to achieve their operational objectives and help them remain competitive.
