Peter Haslebacher is chief operating officer for SunGard’s insurance business in Asia Pacific. In this role, Mr. Haslebacher is responsible for market, product and service strategies for the fast growing Asia Pacific insurance markets.
Mr. Haslebacher has more than 30 years of experience in international strategic management. Prior to the appointment in Asia Pacific in 2010, Mr. Haslebacher was responsible for the insurance risk management solution Prophet. Before joining SunGard in 2005, Mr. Haslebacher worked for SAirGroup in various international management level assignments. He has held positions in sales, marketing, finance, strategic alliances, business development and general management.
Commentary
The insurance industry in Asia is facing many challenges, as it keeps pace with increasing market demand for fast deployment of new products and copes with increasing volumes of new data. In addition, insurers must keep an eye on global regulatory changes in order to remain competitive by making better informed risk decisions. To meet these challenges, insurers need more processing power and performance in a controlled, enterprise risk environment to meet the challenges of the market and regulators.
