SunGard Offers Prepaid Benefits Card to Relius 125 Customers

SunGard’s Relius 125 system will offer Evolution Benefits, Inc.’s (EB) prepaid benefits card program to customers who administer Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRAs) and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).

The EB card, integrated with Relius’ 125 Administration System, helps simplify the participant’s experience and reduce the administrative burden of managing multiple accounts like FSAs, HRAs and HSAs. A participant presents the card at the point of service to pay for a prescription or an office visit. The authorization request is submitted electronically through the normal card authorization channels and is either approved or denied based on card-specific criteria. The card is tied directly to all accounts, allowing its “stacking” capability to prioritize real-time payment from multiple accounts. This technology helps eliminate tedious, paper-based reimbursement processes.
