Order management is a vital and complex activity in every brokerage business: from order capture to allocation, there are many functions involved in a sell-side broker’s work on the care order flow received from buy-side clients. A range of optimized and high-performance business processes and trading capabilities is required in order to ensure ‘best execution’.

• Global order book for client orders: Create orders received by phone, email or fax from your clients in an easy-to-use front end or receive them electronically via FIX or GL workstations.
• Book sharing: Have a shared view of the order book for sales and trading colleagues to see clients’ overall positions.
• Routing rules: Set pre-defined routing rules for certain orders including the ability to use straight-through-processing Sales to dealer relationship management: The GL OMS facilitates order management and routing between sales and dealers.
• Allocation & client account management: Create and modify client accounts and allocate settled trades to them across asset-classes.

• Performance - Overall throughput of the system has been improved, reducing the time taken to load and process baskets and lists of orders via Stream Order Manager technology.
• Cost Reduction - Costs associated with maintaining an Oracle database have been removed in the base OMS package. In addition, the GL OMS is priced on a per-user basis to ensure its affordability and value for money to all clients.
• High scalability - There have also been advances in scalability with the Stream Server able to handle up to 4,000 messages per second, ensuring reliable performance when trading volumes are high.
• Complete functionality - SunGard provides a tightly integrated solution to aid you in carrying out all your front-office functions via various optional modules, allowing you to customize your OMS package to meet your specific trading requirements.
