SunGard Higher Education (http://www.sungardhe.com) announced today that Thompson Rivers University (TRU) has selected the Banner Unified Digital Campus (UDC) to help it provide a seamless learning experience for its different constituents, ranging from students taking courses within an open learning program to those participating in the traditional classroom environment. By migrating to the Banner UDC, the university hopes to provide a seamless experience for all its learners, and help them feel connected to the university.

SunGard has released the latest version of its cross-asset trading solution, Front Arena. Version 4.2 offers support for high volume FX and money market transactions, is able to price derivative instruments faster and can handle larger volumes of complex trades. SunGard’s STN Money Markets portal now combines assets across multiple locations through consolidated, Web-based reporting, to provide customers with a single, comprehensive view of compliance, accounting, risk and performance. The SunGard Transaction Network’s (STN) Money Markets portal is a multi-currency trading and connectivity solution for institutional money market investors, such as corporate treasurers, hedge funds and registered investment advisors, around the world.

Nominations are now being accepted for the newly launched innovation awards which have been created to recognize banks and corporations that have demonstrated innovation in the use of technology. The awards feature two main categories – the “Ambit Innovation Award for the Bank of the Future” and the “AvantGard Innovation Award for Collaborative Financial Management.” Nominations for the awards can be made online at www.sungard.com/sibos. To help build a strong foundation to support a multi-year, decentralized fundraising campaign, the University of California, Berkeley has chosen to replace its existing advancement application with the Advance Suite from SunGard Higher Education (http://www.sungardhe.com). After an extensive evaluation, the Advance Suite was chosen for its ability to provide the university’s development staff with prospective donor management and reporting capabilities deemed to be critical to the success of the university’s upcoming fundraising campaign.

SunGard, one of the world’s leading software and IT services companies, reported today that revenue for the three months ended June 30, 2008 was $1.36 billion, an increase of 15% compared to the same period in 2007. Organic revenue (revenue from businesses owned for at least one year, and excluding revenue from businesses sold in the previous twelve months) grew 12% compared to the same period in 2007, including an approximately 4% increase attributable to one of our broker/dealer businesses and a 2% positive impact of foreign exchange movements overall, primarily in FS due to movement in the Euro. Adjusting for these items, organic revenue growth in the quarter was 6%. The broker/dealer revenue is uncharacteristically high and is expected to return to former levels over time.

Vedior Asia Pacific (Vedior), part of Randstad Holdings, the world’s second largest recruitment network, has selected SunGard’s AvantGard Receivables Management solution to help improve its days sales outstanding (DSO) and cash flow and to prioritize its collections work.
