Independent Bankers’ Bank Implements SunGard’s InTrader to Help Support Growth, Enhance Service to Community Banks
July 16, 2007 — Hopkins, MN
SunGard (www.sungard.com) announced today that Independent Bankers’ Bank (IBB), a bankers’ bank providing full-service correspondent banking throughout the midwestern United States, has gone live on SunGard’s InTrader securities processing, clearance and settlement solution for bank treasury and investment portfolio management (www.sungard.com/intrader). IBB (www.ibb.cc) uses InTrader in an integrated ASP-based environment to help support business growth, achieve greater operational efficiencies and deliver enhanced services to more than 300 community banks across five states.
As a provider to correspondent banks of safekeeping and investment portfolio accounting services, IBB implemented InTrader to help it to achieve an integrated, straight-through processing environment. This assists in reducing the redundancies, errors and discrepancies that are typical with disparate systems. In addition, InTrader provides a single platform that helps IBB provide customers with a consistent look and feel between system components, document and archive Web portals, and graphical reporting capabilities.
“As a progressive provider of banking services, we need to be just as progressive about the technologies we use in order to attract and retain a wider range of clients including the larger institutions, and SunGard’s InTrader helps fulfill our need for efficiencies and our clients’ needs for value-added services,” said Cathie Bryant, senior vice president at Independent Bankers’ Bank. “InTrader has facilitated a more efficient workflow and helped eliminate many of the accounting and safekeeping discrepancies of the past. It also assists us in providing our clients with more sophisticated and streamlined capabilities, resulting in a higher quality of service.”
“InTrader’s single, integrated platform provides the reliable and robust technology that bankers’ banks need to help grow their businesses and gain competitive advantage through the delivery of sophisticated correspondent banking services,” said Herb Hesch, president of SunGard’s InTrader business unit. “With organizations like IBB that place a great deal of emphasis on experience and knowledge, effective and efficient technology infrastructures are fundamental to their success.”
