Rowan County, NC 911 Center Selects SunGard’s OSSI Public Safety Software

SunGard HTE (http://www.sungard.com/hte) announced that the Rowan County 911 Center and Sheriff's Department, NC has selected SunGard’s OSSI Public Safety Suite, including: Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management System (RMS), Jail Management System (JMS), Mobile Computing Technology (MCT), and Mobile Field Reporting (MFR).

The Rowan County 911 Center will be leveraging shared information across all county agencies, including the Sheriff’s, Fire, and EMS Departments. This fully integrated, multi-agency system will provide each agency real-time access to shared data, helping improve response times, officer and citizen safety while helping reduce costs. Future software plans for Rowan County include adding six additional agencies—Spencer Police Department, Granite Quarry Police Department, China Grove Police Department, Rockwell Police Department, Rowan County ABC, and Rowan County EMS—to its Records Management and Mobile System.
