Miami Gardens, FL Police Department Selects SunGard’s OSSI Public Safety Software

SunGard HTE (http://www.sungard.com/hte), a leading provider of government information technologies, announced today that the Miami Gardens, FL Police Department has selected SunGard’s OSSI Public Safety Suite, including Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) with Crime Analysis Plus, Records Management System (RMS), Mobile Computing Technology (MCT), and Mobile Field Reporting (MFR).

The Miami Gardens Police Department is a newly-formed agency serving the community of Miami Gardens, FL. More than 150 officers will be sworn into the agency, serving and protecting a community of more than 100,000 citizens. The agency and its OSSI Public Safety Suite are expected to go live on December 1, 2007. 

Utilizing SunGard’s OSSI Public Safety Suite of software, Miami Gardens, FL police officers will share information in real time, which will help improve response times, solve cases faster, and help reduce crime, while helping increase officer and citizen safety. The data generated by SunGard OSSI’s Public Safety Suite will also aid in improving the agency’s forecasting capabilities, helping enable crime analysts to identify high crime areas and pin-map events, while helping eliminate hours of research.
