Frank Lavelle Appointed President of SunGard Public Sector’s K-12 Education Business

SunGard Public Sector today announced that Frank Lavelle has been appointed president of its K-12 Education business.
Mr. Lavelle previously held executive-level positions with Xerox and Siemens Medical Solutions where he gained extensive experience in the government, education and medical sectors. Prior to joining SunGard he served as president of Med Quist, a leading provider of medical transcription software technology and services. Mr. Lavelle replaces Don Appleton, who retired in June after leading the company for the past ten years.
