SNS Bank Selects SunGard’s Ambit Integrated Treasury Management Solution
September 8, 2009 — Amsterdam
SNS Financial Markets, the treasury and capital markets arm of SNS Reaal, which resides under SNS Bank NV, has selected SunGard’s Ambit Treasury Management solution to help create an integrated, front-to-back approach to its treasury management operations.
SunGard’s Ambit Treasury Management solution will help SNS establish a single platform for treasury across its enterprise, which will help it improve efficiency, risk management and asset support. SNS will implement the Ambit solution using SunGard’s hosted Application Service (ASP) model, which will help decrease the implementation time as well as reduce costs and required resource.
Bob Goedhart, director of operations, SNS Financial Markets, said: “SNS Financial Markets sought a solution that had the capability to grow with us, meeting our business requirements for the next five to ten years in terms of number of deals and product growth. We also sought to bring a number of separate solutions deployed across our treasury department onto a single platform, helping to improve our end-to-end processing efficiency.”
Andrew Woods, group vice president, global treasury solutions for SunGard’s corporations business unit, said, "We are pleased to be able to help SNS make its transition to an integrated treasury management system, where it will be able to support its current product classes more effectively and efficiently.”
