CFE Selects SunGard's Aligne to Help Manage its Natural Gas Operations

Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), the electricity provider of Mexico and one of the largest purchasers of natural gas globally, has selected SunGard’s Aligne through a public bid. Aligne is a multi-commodity solution suite, which integrates trading, market and credit risk, scheduling and operations, emissions compliance, settlement and accounting, and senior management information needs. CFE will use Aligne to help manage its contracts and optimize its natural gas supply across its headquarters and several regional offices.
Enrique Morfín, manager of natural gas at CFE, said, “SunGard’s Aligne will help us automate key processes, improve overall productivity and quality, and better manage risks associated with our natural gas supply chain, helping us better serve our clients.”
