UMB Selects SunGard's Stream Transfer Agency

December 5, 2011 — Wayne, PA

UMB Bank, N.A will use SunGard’s Stream Transfer Agency, an ASP-based solution for corporate trust bondholder accounting and recordkeeping. Stream Transfer Agency provides corporate trust departments with Web access to bond issue, financing, bondholder, securities, payment and tax transaction information.

UMB has been using SunGard Corporate Trust solutions since 1999 and moved to Stream Transfer Agency because of the intuitive interface, data mining and report writing abilities, as well as the solution’s enhanced security and regulatory support.

Joe Christian, UMB vice president, Operations and Technology Group, said, “SunGard’s Stream Transfer Agency provides us with a comprehensive platform for debt recordkeeping and accounting that can quickly expand to support growth. SunGard’s ability to host and manage the solution in a highly secure service environment is essential, as this helps free our IT resources.”

Stream Transfer Agency provides tools for compliance with the latest regulatory requirements such as cost basis recordkeeping and supports the protection of personally identifiable information. Users can access a consolidated portfolio view of each holder’s investments in both debt and equity instruments, and can run advanced reports that drill down to underlying detail.

“Corporate trust organizations are seeking new ways to work more efficiently and at a lower cost while meeting increasing regulatory controls and oversight,” said Steve Smith, general manager of SunGard’s securities transfer solutions. “Stream Transfer Agency helps automate and simplify processing for the full range of corporate trust activities.”
