Due to potential travel and safety issues from the impact of Hurricane Irene on the Atlantic Coast, SunGard is rescheduling the Benefit Administration Summit 2011 (from August 28 – 31) to November 16 – 18 at The Ritz-Carlton in Amelia Island, FL.

SunGard apologizes for the inconvenience and hopes you make alternate plans to join us in November. Contact The Ritz-Carlton directly at 904-277-1100 to reschedule your hotel reservation by Friday, August 26. The same rate of $209/night will be honored for the November dates. Also, if you prefer to cancel your reservation, instead of rescheduling, you need to contact The Ritz-Carlton directly at the number above by Friday, August 26.

Regarding your conference registration or sponsorship fee, you can choose either to apply that fee to the November event or receive a refund. Refunds can be handled through the “Contact Us” button below.

What is the status of SunGard’s Benefit Administration Summit?

  • The Benefit Administration Summit 2011 has been rescheduled (from August 28 – 30) to November 16 – 18 because of travel and safety issues resulting from the impact of Hurricane Irene on the Atlantic Coast.  

Where is the rescheduled Benefit Administration Summit being held?

  • The rescheduled Benefit Administration Summit 2011 will be held at the same location: The Ritz-Carlton in Amelia Island, FL.

The severe weather seems to be bypassing Amelia Island. Why reschedule?

  • While the severest weather is now predicted to take place north of the event venue, a significant number of our customers and employees would need to travel from the Mid Atlantic and other areas in the northeast. Travel for them would be difficult, if possible. The safety of our customers, vendor partners, and employees is of the upmost importance. 

Will the rescheduled Benefit Administration Summit be the same as the one scheduled for August?

  • The rescheduled event will mirror the current agenda as much as possible. We are in the process of contacting speakers and vendors in order to provide them with ample time to adjust their calendars to accommodate the new dates. We will send out email notifications if there are any significant changes to the agenda, and this site will be updated frequently. 

Do I need to register again if I want to attend in November?

  • No, SunGard will automatically apply your registration fee to the November event. However, you do need to contact the hotel directly to change your hotel reservation; contact The Ritz-Carlton at 904-277-1100 by Friday, August 26.

What if I am already registered, but unable to attend the rescheduled event?

  • You can request a refund by contacting SunGard’s event manager Joyce Johnson at joyce.johnson@sungard.com or 205-437-7601. Or you can transfer your registration to a co-worker. The registration fee can be applied only to the rescheduled November event and cannot be applied to any other future SunGard event.

What if I already booked my hotel reservations and want to attend the rescheduled Summit in November?

  • You must contact The Ritz-Carlton directly at 904-277-1100 to reschedule your hotel reservation by Friday, August 26. The same rate of $209/night will be honored for the November dates.

What if I already booked my hotel reservations but I will not be attending the rescheduled Benefit Administration Summit?

  • You must contact The Ritz-Carlton directly at 904-277-1100 to cancel your reservation by Friday, August 26. The hotel will waive the cancellation fee for all guests if you cancel by this date.

In addition to Monday morning’s general track session, you can participate in the executive and technical tracks, support labs or roundtable discussions. Plus, as in previous years, the user groups will also meet onsite for this event.

Business tracks feature panels and round table discussions from key users of SunGard solutions, discussing operational efficiencies, trends in alternative investments and opportunities for leveraging various delivery methods. Technical tracks feature enhancement updates on core applications and modules. Support labs and roundtable discussions are also available surrounding these applications to offer you time to engage in online instruction or even question and answer sessions moderated by product experts.

The scheduled networking events give attendees the opportunity to share one-on-one time with SunGard’s senior management and support staff, as well as time with others in your industry.
